Book Haul #5 (I Had A Naughty November)

Is the title of this post really any surprise? I mean really? Shaina bought more books, who would have guessed it. Shameful thing is you guys missed out on seeing a lot of the new books I purchased when I went MIA, so here's a massive November book haul.
During November I was trying to be on a book buying ban as my Mum and sister, Tegan, are spoiling me for my 17th (exactly 1 month away as I'm writing this!) as it'll be my last birthday living at home and in the top half of Queensland, Brisbane here I come! But well, that 'ban' didn't really work out and I ended up buying more in November than I did in September and October combined. Oops! In my defence, I did get to go to the city (aka Cairns) for my Graduation, which is a rare occurrence and they have real life bookstores there (and very cheap selections at Kmart and Target) so I splurged, big time! I did get a few quite cheap though, so remember that when I show you all the books I bought and you're judging the amount of money I spent ;)
Ok now for the shame (and pretty book porn)! In November I got a total of 18 books!
Firstly, I got 2 new box sets!

I've heard mixed things about The Hush, Hush Quartet (Becca Fitzpatrick) and the Iron Fey Quartet/Trilogy (Julie Kagawa) but I decided I'd give them a go anyways. I got both for bargain prices, and plus, look how pretty the Iron Fey boxset is! Hush, Hush was $23 from Target and The Iron Fey was $37 from The Book Depository!

The next few books I purchased were books I've heard a lot about, but couldn't remember whether or not it was positive or negative, so I guess I'll be deciding that for myself! First I got Alice in Zombie Land (Gena Showalter) because I decided I should read a Zombie book. Not sure why I decided November was the time for that, especially when Halloween was in October, but hey why not! The next few books I purchased were all from Target, so I have Let It Snow (John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle), Afterworlds (Scott Westerfeld), Nona & Me (Clare Atkins) and Falling Into Place (Amy Zhang). All of these were around $12. The last book in this pile is Evernight (Claudia Gray) which I picked up for $6 at a bargain bookstore that seems to be one of many popping up around Cairns, let's hope they last! I also saw a badly damaged copy of Dorothy Must Die but couldn't bring myself to deal with the damage, even if it was only $6.

Last but certainly not least are books I'm sure I'll love (or love already!) pictured is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (J.K Rowling), Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban (J.K Rowling), Talon (Julie Kagawa) and A Thousand Pieces of You (Claudia Gray). I've already read (and loved) A Thousand Pieces of You and I'm currently slowly working my way through the Harry Potter series for the first time ever and absolutely loving it. I'm currently halfway through Chamber of Secrets! Again, all of these books were around $10-12, all from Kmart.
Another book I want to quickly mention that isn't pictured is What I've Read, a little pocket journal for me to write my star ratings, start and finish date, thoughts and ideas for all the books I've read. It's super cute and I really enjoy using it. Throughout it has interesting quotes, and interactive activities like Favourite Places to Read etc. It's a fantastic little purchase and only cost $9 from the Book Depository, so if you're interested I'd definitely recommend!
That's all for this post, I hope you enjoyed!
